Laura and Alex's personal, yet fun and intimate wedding ceremony took place at the University of Sussex's Meeting House - a stunning circular building of colored stained-glass windows.

The bridesmaids played the piano to assist the congregation's hymns and the bride and groom stood proud infront of their friends and family as they pledged their vows to become husband and wife.

A VW campervan awaited to take the newlyweds over the sunkissed South Downs and a vintage red double decker route master collected the 70 guests  and transported them to the reception venue at Ditchling Village Barn.

Prosecco, a photobooth in a tree and garden games including Connect 4 and Limbo, awaited the wedding party. Delicious canapes were served by Epicatering as photos were taken by Kevin Sare Photography and the guests enjoyed the Sussex sunshine, feeding the local ducks and creating mischief with the dressing up box and the photobooth.

A beautiful marquee provided by Out Is In decorated by Amore Star Events with pale teal, cream and turquoise bunting, Ivy, sunflower garlands and gorgeous flowers played host to the delicious Paella dinner and speaches of the bridal party. Lots of laughs and a few tears were had by all.

The stunningly intricate three-tiered cake, make by Phil (a friend of the couple) was cut and served as desert before the evening guests arrived and the dancing began. Music was provided by DJ Paul of Unity Talent.

An evening buffet consisting of a tiered Cheese Cake provided by Paxton & Whitfield and arranged by Amore Star Events, chutneys, crackers and locally sourced Sausage Rolls was put on for any hungry dance floor lovers, before the evening came to a close with a sparkler send off for the bride and groom.

"We would like to express gratitude and thanks to Gilly at Amore Star Events for ensuring our wedding day ran so smoothly and that we had the best day of our lives! Without Gilly’s thorough preparations and co-ordinating skills there is no way we would have had the most amazing, relaxed and fun day that we did. She was indispensible in the weeks leading up to the event and on the day her presence and skills were invaluable.  We knew she was always a step ahead and we didn’t need to worry about anything other than enjoying seeing all of our ideas come to life and revelling in the day. She built excellent relationships with our suppliers and staff, working with them as a dream team to deliver a calm, efficient and fun atmosphere behind the scenes.

I would advise everyone to hire a wedding planner in some form; every wedding would benefit from having Gilly to make it run smoothly."
